Coming Soon to Downtown Louisburg....

When a neighborhood, town, college and arts council come together….
A mural goes up!

Just in time for Independence Day, a depiction of a scene in downtown Louisburg 80 years ago will be erected on the City Barbershop Building at Nash and Main streets.

Julius Shumpert, a Louisburg College student, and Will Hinton, his art professor, created the work.
This week, they told a crowd of townspeople how it came about.

The Louisburg Historic District Neighborhood Association's sub grant from the Franklin County Arts Council was funded by the North Carolina Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.  The Town of Louisburg provided matching funds. Huge thanks to our legislators, these organizations, and all who had a part in making this project possible!
